Ontario Shores, in partnership with the Ontario Shores Foundation, is looking for volunteers interested in participating in our annual fundraising and awareness campaign to support mental health initiatives in our community.
To do this work, we seek the assistance of young children, teens, young adults, older adults and seniors from diverse backgrounds.
Among young and older adults, we are seeking volunteers who continued to work through the COVID-19 pandemic in their respective fields. Examples of desired professions include hospital worker, grocery store employee, truck driver, teachers, construction worker or delivery person.
Preference will be given to interested participants who have a mental health connection, whether it be lived experience on a personal or family level; experience supporting friend or colleague; or interest in advocating for mental health and Ontario Shores.
Selected participants will be photographed by appointment between August 17-28 outdoors on the grounds of Ontario Shores.
Participants will be featured on outdoor advertisements throughout Durham Region as well as in online social media campaigns.
