Ontario Shores Announces New Board Member

Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences (Ontario Shores) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ted Moroz to the role of Chair of the Board of Directors.

Mr. Moroz joined the Board in 2014 and since that time he has served as Chair of the Governance Compensation Committee and Chair of the Finance and Quality Committee and has been an Executive Committee member of the Board for the past year.

He is President of The Beer Store and Brewers Distributor Ltd., where he is responsible for strategic planning, managing retail sales, wholesale logistics, finance, information technology, and human resources. 

“Ted has been a valued and engaged member of our board who shares our passion to enhance care for those struggling with mental illness,” says Karim Mamdani, President and CEO.  “We look forward to continuing to work with Ted and our entire board of directors in the year ahead as we strive to advance the mental health care system.”

Mr. Moroz is active in his community has been an engaged volunteer for a number of charities.  He served as a board member and chair of the National Board of Directors of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada.

“I am proud to be part of an innovative organization that leads change to ensure those impacted by mental illness have access to the quality treatment they need when they need it,” says Mr. Moroz.  “I am excited about the opportunities and I look forward to collaborating with staff, patients, families and partners about how we can create change together.”

Ontario Shores is also pleased to welcome a new board member, Krista McBeth.  She served as a board member from 2008 to 2011.  Ms. McBeth is an accomplished leader in the areas of executive compensation and governance and overall talent platforms.  She is currently the Director of Talent Operations at Shopify and has held other leadership positions at Kinross Gold Corporation and Shawcor Limited.
