The Board of Directors of Ontario Shores Foundation for Mental Health (Ontario Shores Foundation) is pleased to welcome Linda Henry as Chief Executive Officer.

As an accomplished executive, Ms. Henry brings more than 20 years of healthcare fundraising experience to the role. She has led numerous campaigns and projects, including a $60 million capital campaign, and has tremendous experience in planned and major giving as well as in operations.

She joins the team at Ontario Shores Foundation from her role at Toronto East General Hospital Foundation as Vice-President where she was responsible for leading strategic fundraising programs, developing effective marketing campaigns and creating innovative donor engagement initiatives.

“On behalf of the Board, we are pleased Linda will be joining us.  She has a proven track record as a strategic and forward-thinking fundraiser and brings a best practice approach to donor-centred fundraising at the corporate, individual and foundation levels,” says Dan Carter, Chair of the Foundation Board.

Together with the Ontario Shores Foundation team, Ms. Henry will work to strengthen the fundraising opportunities for a number of priorities at Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences (Ontario Shores) including adolescent services, dementia care, research and innovation, mental health awareness and recovery-focused facilities.

Ms. Henry is particularly interested in gaining a strong niche positioning within the philanthropic marketplace and increasing the brand image with donors. Seeing the work at Ontario Shores as vital, she is excited to meet the donors and hear their personal reasons for wanting to get involved. “Everyone has a story and finding out what inspires each donor will in turn inspire all of us.”
Having also expressed appreciation for being a conduit to match the donor to the cause, Ms. Henry says “I am looking forward to sharing how donors can impact the work at Ontario Shores and make a difference for patients, their families and the community.”
“Ontario Shores looks forward to working closely with Linda and her team as they generate support for the important work we do in our communities every day,” says Karim Mamdani, President and CEO, Ontario Shores. “Linda will play an important role in enabling the delivery of innovative mental health care in a healing and recovery-focused environment,” Mamdani adds.
