Ontario Shores is nothing short of amazing. I can confidently say that this hospital has provided me with many opportunities to gain knowledge on a wide range of topics in mental health care. I have been able to learn from leaders in the field, and demonstrate my skills through a variety of academic endeavors. Although Ontario Shores offers an incredible learning experience for its students, what sets it apart is the people. The staff and patients function as a family, opening their arms to everyone with kindness and respect. I have never felt as welcomed as I do here, and because of that I believe Ontario Shores is an excellent placement for any student.

When I was told my consolidation would be within the EDU unit at Ontario Shores I was nervous and excited at the opportunity of supporting adolescents with eating disorders/mental illness. The entire team consisting of RNs, RPNs, Doctors, Nurse Practitioner, Behavioural Therapists, Recreation Therapists, Occupational Therapists, etc have been extremely professional, open to my many questions and very supportive of my learning and understanding how to best support he patients on the unit.
