Affiliations and partnerships with a number of academic institutions provide opportunities for professional staff at Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences (Ontario Shores) to share their knowledge by teaching students within formalized student placement positions. Our trained staff also develop their own mentorship and teaching skills by assisting placement students to achieve hands-on experience in their respective fields. All students are partnered with knowledgeable staff who provide mentorship, preceptorship, and supervision.
Students are crucial to the development of our academic mandate, and the strengthening of our partnerships with academic institutions. Students are valued by our staff, who enjoy mentoring them in the professions for which they share a deep passion. During their time at Ontario Shores, students gain practical experience related to their field of study, and staff benefit from a fresh perspective on their own practices.
