Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences (Ontario Shores) works in partnership with Canadian Mental Health Association – Durham to provide services for individuals with mental illness who live independently within the community. A caseworker from Ontario Shores works intensively with a number of patients. The caseworker’s key role is to sustain housing by providing mental health support including life skills assistance and crisis counselling (as needed) as well as helping to link patients to other service providers.
