Occupational Health and Wellness

The Occupational Health and Wellness department promotes the physical, mental and social well-being for all Ontario Shores employees.  The department assists employees with attendance, quality of life and individual health and well-being issues.  A team of dedicated professionals on staff also coordinate the placement of injured and recovering employees with the assistance of the union and managers.

Occupational Health Nurses provide primary care, health assessments, health education, immunizations, blood pressure monitoring, smoking cessation, first aid, assistance with return to work and WSIB claims management.  They also monitor potential and known health hazards in the work environment.  Maintaining employee confidentiality in all matters is of the utmost importance.
