Thought Leadership Forum

Ontario Shores hosts an annual Thought Leadership Forum to explore ways to minimize the use of seclusion and restraint.  Each year, the Thought Leadership Forum brings leaders together to ask bold questions, have frank discussions and investigate new practices in mental health care that promote recovery and minimize patient seclusion and restraint use.

The use of seclusion and restraint has been a common practice in healthcare, especially mental health care for many decades.  Over the past few years, organizations around the world, like Ontario Shores have begun making the transition to reduce the use of seclusion and restraint.  The forum is a wonderful way for individuals and organizations to share best practices, learn about new research and have collaborate with each other on this transition.
