Juried Art Show - Rules and Regulations

All shipping and delivery arrangements and costs are the responsibility of the entrant. Each member may submit one entry only.

Entry form and artwork must be delivered for judging by 4:00 P.M. on Tuesday, August 6, 2019. Sorry, no exceptions.

Artwork must be delivered to our main location at 700 Gordon Street, Whitby to our Information Desk in Building 5, Level 2 (green entrance by the flag pole).

Entrants will be notified by email if their work has been selected by Monday, August 19, 2019.

A list of accepted artists will also appear on our website www.ontarioshores.ca/artgallery.  All accepted entries must appear in the exhibition for the full duration of the exhibition.

Artwork not selected must be picked up by Monday, August 26, 2019.

Selected artwork must be picked up by Friday, November 8.

Ontario Shores will take all due care with artworks received, but will not be responsible for any loss or damage to artworks whatsoever, however caused, while in its custody. Each entrant is responsible for maintaining insurance coverage.

Artwork may be offered for sale. Any enquiries related to the purchase of artwork while on exhibition shall be directed to the artist.

It is understood that Ontario Shores may photograph selected works for reference and publicity purposes.

Artwork must be ready for hanging or display (i.e. framed and/or appropriate hanging devices) with an identification label attached to the back of the work. Ontario Shores will provide a label at time of artwork delivery.

The maximum size for wall pieces is 36” x 36” (91 x 91 cm). Sculpture should be a weight that can be easily handled by two people (at the jury’s discretion).

All final exhibition decisions are at the discretion of Ontario Shores.
