A newsletter developed by the patients of the CONTACT Program.
Ontario Shores launched Patient Council in 1991. Its members play a valuable role in providing a patient perspective to enhance programs and services within the hospital. They also provide support to patients as they transition from the hospital to the community, raise awareness about mental health and reduce stigma associated with mental illness.
The Council consists of 12 to 14 members including both inpatients and outpatients, and the group meets once a month to discuss patient issues and concerns. For more information about Patient Council, please contact the Patient Council Office at 905.430.4055 ext. 6260.
