Employment and Rehabilitation Services
Vocational and Adult Education services provides individual assessment, career and education counselling, skills training, and community employment opportunities for both inpatients and outpatients in a welcoming and recovery- oriented environment. Services include:
- Individual vocational and education assessments
- Supported Education Program (OSSEP) for persons 21 years and older (ESL, academic upgrading, high-school credits, and post-secondary)
- Job Preparation, Resume, Interview workshops
- Job Development and Job Coaching (Ontario Shores is an approved ODSP Service Provider)
- Computer training
- Safe Food Handling Certificate program
- SafeAbility™ – health and safety training program
- Individual Work Placement programs in hospital
- New Directions - Psycho-Social day program in partnership with Durham Mental Health Services
