Dr. Omar Ghaffar is a neuropsychiatrist with the Geriatric and Neuropsychiatry Program at Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences (Ontario Shores). He has a faculty appointment in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto and is a member of the Brain Sciences Program at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. Dr. Ghaffar is engaged in research combining magnetic resonance imaging and genetics in neuropsychiatric diseases. Dr. Ghaffar has been a recipient of the American Neuropsychiatry Association’s Young Investigator Award and Career Development Award and also received the Canadian Institute Health Research (CIHR) Michael Bisby Award.
