Neuropsychological and Psychiatric Characteristics of Huntington’s Disease
PI:
Rosa Ip
The objective of this study was to use standardized clinical measure to determine the prevalence and conformity of cognitive impairments and psychiatric disturbances in patients with Huntington’s disease. The study examined five diagnosed patients on a neuropsychiatric unit at a mental health centre. It was determined that psychiatric and cognitive symptoms were common in patients with Huntington’s disease, but had a great degree of patient-to-patient variability, indicating the need for individualized, patient-specific care.
